Bastrop Animal Rescue

Bastrop Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to save and improve the lives of animals in Bastrop County, Texas. Our primary focus is to prevent animals from ever having to enter the local shelter. We take in injured, neglected, and abandoned pets, place them in loving foster homes, provide life saving medical care and find safe, responsible forever homes for them.

We also work with members of the community to provide the education and resources needed to be responsible pet parents. We offer door to door spay and neuter services pets for low income members in the community to help control pet overpopulation. We have built fences to get dogs off of chains, coordinated care for pets displaced by natural disasters until they could return home, taken in and rehomed pets from terminally ill pet owners and much more. With the communities support, we are working to expand our anti-cruelty work in the near future.
